Title: From room 208 to your place
(Series of 10 drawings) Black and red ink
Last autumn my friend Julieta was hospitalized for two months at a psychiatric hospital. I decided to be with her during those days. This series of drawings, which afterwards have become postcards, were born from my empathy with her pain and her recovery process. The phrases that accompany the drawings are fragments of what Julieta told me during those days. I sent a drawing/postcard to each person who wanted to participate in the project and who contacted me through my blog. With the goal of having people integrate that postcard-drawing-scar on their own world, without knowing where the drawings came from. During this happening they will get the information about the context where these drawings come from, so that they can feel, and if they wish, they can express whether the relationship that they had established beforehand with the drawing would change or not. And what would cause this change to happen?

Title: When BEING is no longer defined as the opposite of not BEING
Exhibited at Kerava Museum
Exhibition "Hole in the Universe"
Summer 2011
If I could
use only one word to embrace Luka Andeyro´s work I would keep mute. Maybe I
could make a list of several words, but then the result would be overexposed.
First, she composes images that show how the artist thinks in terms of what
something is and what could it be. Trying to be more “precise”, she started
writing and she concluded that the best way to read her sentences is being
helped by disorder. With some feeling of redemption, Andeyro finally writes on
the wall: When BEING is no longer defined as the opposite of NOT BEING. Chaos is
not chaotic when is well managed. This installation is itself process.

A tactile poetry
of five sounds is the result of a collective work done in different stages. My
intervention was the last one. I propose the concrete materiality of the paper
as the substratum for a (re)interpretation of the Kalevala. It is needed
a ritual to transform the state of the material respecting the properties of
it. Seven are five. It has been a return to the origin, once and again.
From the earth to the tree, from the tree to the paper, from the paper to the
paper. To see the same from a new perspective.
