Residence at Salmela Taidekeskus

I will be an artist in residence from August to December 2013 at Salmela Taidekeskus

Art Centre Salmela is one of the biggest and most famous art centres in Finland. It´s multicultural program includes art exhibitions, concerts and lectures. Also the beautiful milieu in the Finnish lake district is really worth seeing. The exhibitions concentrate on contemporary Finnish art of a high standard. Salmela's exhibitions are closed for the winter.  Outside the exhibition season Salmela's exhibition spaces will be given up for the use of 4 artists (Autumn term) and 4 artists (Spring term). Through this kind of activity Salmela aims to support promising young artists in the field of visual arts, music and literature. You can see on the map a yellow mark where it is Salmela Taidekeskus
